Dr. Kelly Bender, ND
Dr. Bender is a California licensed Naturopathic Doctor. As a graduate of Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Bender is trained as an expert in natural medicine. After graduating summa cum laude with a bachelors of science in Pharmacology & Toxicology from the University at Buffalo and top of her class in medical school she has continued her training in cutting edge therapies. These included intravenous nutrient therapy, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and regenerative therapies like prolotherpy from the Hackett-Hemwall Foundation. She is passionate about helping individuals optimize their health so they can live their lives to the fullest. Dr. Bender believes it is important to understand the entire person in order to facilitate healing and offers each patient an individualized treatment plan to enhance their vitality. Dr. Bender enjoys teaching others, whether it be her patients or students at various medical schools. While she misses the fall weather back home in New York, she is happy to make Los Angeles her home.
Dr. Heath McAllister, ND
Dr. McAllister is a California licensed Naturopathic Doctor. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of New Hampshire and later with honors from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. He then went on to complete a general medicine residency. Dr. McAllister has served as faculty at several health-care institutions including Bastyr University in San Diego. Dr. McAllister combines the best of modern medicine with the most effective alternative therapies in order to offer a customized approach to each person’s health challenges specifically tailored to their individual needs. Dr. McAllister received specialized trained in Prolotherapy from the Hackett-Hemwall Foundation. Prolotherapy is a type of injection therapy designed to rehabilitate damaged tendons, ligaments, and joints as well as reduce pain. He finds this therapy extremely effective and one of the few that adequately addresses these issues. Dr. McAllister is originally from Maine where he was instilled with an intense fascination with nature. In his free time he enjoys foreign travel, cooking, hiking, and wildflower photography.
Dr. Ahmad, ND
Dr. Ahmad is a California licensed Naturopathic Doctor (N.D.) and has been referred to in the past by his peers as “doctor squared” because he also completed a medical doctorate degree (M.D.) from Saint George’s University in Grenada and Saint Vincent of the West Indies in the Caribbean Sea. He completed his Naturopathy training from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona after going through the full allopathic medicine program. Being born and raised in central New Jersey, Dr. Ahmad attended Princeton High School and also received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology with minors in Business Marketing and Chemistry from the College of New Jersey followed by a Master’s of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a specialization in Biotechnology from Georgetown University Medical Center. Dr. Ahmad has a passion for offering all forms of treatment for his patients whether using botanical/herbal remedies related to Ayurvedic medicine (ancient Indian subcontinent), pain management/sports medicine using regenerative injections such as prolotherapy or platelet-rich-plasma (PRP), and nutritional IVs. He is also very knowledgeable about pharmacology and understands the inner workings of the hospital setting due to his prior training and exposure in such systems-based areas including orthopedic medicine, infectious diseases, and allergy/immunology. In his spare time, Dr. Ahmad likes to focus on his other interests including playing sports, mainly basketball, football, ice hockey, tennis, and even cricket, visiting museums, and learning about various cultures.
